Mr Rod McInnes, CEO of Timber Queensland, has today announced that he will retire on or before June 2016.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Forest Products Association Mr Ross Hampton said, “Mr McInnes has provided more than twenty years of service to Queensland’s forest industries. He is highly respected across industry and political circles for his clarity of thought, depth of knowledge and doggedness in pursuit of the correct outcomes for forestry industries in his state.”
Mr McInnes will be sorely missed, although it is some comfort that he has indicated that he will remain involved with the industry in a part-time, occasional, capacity.
The national industry wishes Mr McInnes all the very best.
